With an individual portrait we move at a slower pace than family sessions (since I don’t have to chase children around) and may use lighting and one or two locations. We would aim to end up with 12-15 images which are carefully post processed. With a conceptual portrait it involves (usually) a lot of photoshop work and the aim is to create one image for you. The image below of the lady with paint brushes in her hair (’The Artist’) is an example of conceptual portraiture. With this kind of portrait we would meet up first to chat and generate ideas.
